Introduction to Whitewater Paddling

Learn basic kayak strokes and maneuvers in an intensive 4 days course. The class will consist of 4 hour per day that will teach a paddling progression to take you from flatwater to Class III whitewater. We will go over the basics of whitewater paddling maneuvers, river reading, and river safety. Not only will we be paddling but we will cover river mythology and river rescue using simple rope work.
Paddling on a river is fast and exciting so why not join us for this new exciting course.
Students must be comfortable on and in the water and should expect to spend some time upside-down and underwater.

Students may use school equipment or their own, subject to instructor approval.

Student: instructor ration of no more than 4:1

$280 per person, minimum enrollment required $240.00 per person if three or more

Include:

transport, equipment, kayak instructors, and box lunch.
